Daniel (Dan) Custis co-founded ABM, a progressive company focused on providing agicultural biologicals and root inoculant products to growers everywhere, in 2000 after 25 years in the agricultural industry, primarily in agricultural marketing. As chief executive officer, Custis oversees all company financial, marketing and sales operations, as well as new product acquisition.
Custis’ agricultural expertise is centered in the fungicide, insecticide seed treatment and legume inoculant markets. He has worked for and held various positions with national and multi-national companies, including Kalo Laboratories, Chipman Chemicals, Wilbur-Ellis and Agrevo, which is now Bayer Crop Science.
Custis has a passion for world hunger, which was a factor for starting ABM. He believed there was a better way to use all-natural biological seed treatments to produce healthier crops and increase yields, which can help feed the world. Today, his vision and leadership have increased sales significantly and market demand continues to grow around the world.
Custis received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Eastern Kentucky University and his Master’s in Business with a focus on Small Business Development and Startups from Regent University.
He is a member of The Entrepreneurial Institute (TEI) and has been a featured TEI speaker about growing successful organizations. He has also been asked to speak about the success of applying microbes to seeds at an Informa Life Sciences event in Berlin.
Custis is also a member of the American Seed Trade Association and a board member of Crossfire International Youth Ministry.
He resides in Van Wert, Ohio.
